Film Feedback
I just went to the Dam Short Film Festival in Boulder City, NV, and
I can truly tell you that [Armand] blew away all the films I saw.
Deb Culbertson, TV Station Owner/Manager, Las Vegas, NV
This documentary is inspiring in many ways - first, to see the huge
spectrum of Armand’s talent displayed, then, in his life story, and
lastly in his search for truth, his search for meaning in the
journey we call living. Janies Schipper Smalligan, Teacher, Michigan
Armand Merizon’s life offers plenty of material for his
documentarians. In turn, the film offers plenty of food for thought
for its audience.
Curt Wozniak, Grand Rapids Magazine, September, 2005
What makes this documentary successful is that it not only provides
a good sense of the diversity of Armand’s art, but also provides an
intriguing story about the artist. This film is beautiful.
Carl Plantinga, Professor of Communication Arts & Sciences, Calvin
College
“His work demands and certainly should receive more exposure than
what he’s had.” John Shooks, Businessman & Art Collector
“His paintings don’t just happen all by themselves. They are well
thought out and executed. He knows what he wants to do and he pulls
it off.”
Ben Perrin, Art Gallery Owner & Artist
“He took all the masters. He learned from them and he went past
them.”
Aime Merizon, daughter
“The man is a genius. Armand can do anything with a paint brush.”
Paul Collins, International Artist
“Armand’s contribution to the art world is yet to be felt.”
Joanne VanderMey, Artist & Art Collector
“He’s painting for what he wants to create and there’s an honesty
about that and I find that rare today when so many people want to
paint for a market.”
Jim Markle, Artist & Art Collector |
