About the Host

 

Classical Radio personality, Peter Van De Graaff, is the narrating host of Armand. Peter has been on the airwaves since 1984 when he got his start at college on KBYU in Provo, Utah. While there he hosted the morning program and the weekly Utah Symphony broadcasts until 1988 when he was hired as a staff announcer at WFMT, Chicago, his home town. In 1989, he was named host of the nationally-syndicated Beethoven Satellite Network, carried on some 150 stations throughout the country. Since 1996 he has functioned as the BSN program director as well. In 2004 he was the host of a series of European Opera Broadcasts carried on hundreds of stations nationally, and has produced and been the voice for numerous other national and local productions.

When not on the radio, Peter pursues a career as a singer, and in this capacity he has performed with many major orchestras and opera companies in the US and Europe.
